Hi from Scotland

2017-02-15 10:18:20
Hi from Scotland Joined the forum a while ago, and really enjoy reading through the posts. Misplaced my login details so never actually posted anything. Thought it was time I corrected that. Got fed up with the rat race in cities, so a few years ago, wife and I bought a few acres of land in Scotland and built our dream home on it. We're off grid for everything except telephone line, and aim to...

Why does my idle go up and down?

OK, good feedback. With all the PCV deposits noticed, probably a good idea to tidy up the intake, throttle plate & PCV system plumbing. Be careful to use "coating safe" spray cleaner on the throttle plate area. Make sure the OD of the throttle plate & the bore it fits in are squeaky clean, so it closes properly & isn't sticking from deposits. Don't damage the coating on these parts,...

FIA considers WRC speed limits after record run in Sweden

2017-02-20 20:14:03
Is crowd safety the 85-mph elephant in the room when it comes to rally racing? The FIA is keeping an eye on World Rally Championship stage speeds, and a recent run by Ott Tanak called attention to speeds achieved by the new rally cars. On a Rally Sweden stage, Ott Tanak's M-Sport Ford Fiesta WRC averaged – not reached, but averaged – 85.62 mph. That is insanely fast, almost seven mph...

2017-02-22 06:22:02
Even if all of those 162K "refugees" were adults capable of working at a job, where does it say Sweden needs that many workers? Are there that many open positions in that country? Those 464 that did get jobs probably have enough education, work experience, and the ability to communicate in some common language (probably English) that they stood a good chance of getting a job. Those European...
